About Us
An attorney-led surplus funds recovery service built on transparency, compliance, and client protection.
Helping Homeowners Recover What’s Rightfully Theirs
Losing a home to foreclosure or tax sale can be overwhelming. Many former homeowners are never told that surplus funds—money left over after debts are paid—may still belong to them.
Our mission is simple: help eligible homeowners recover those funds legally, professionally, and without added stress.
We combine careful research, a transparent process, and direct attorney involvement to ensure every claim is handled with integrity and compliance. Unlike third-party fund locators or unregulated services, our process is guided by an experienced attorney from start to finish.
This means your claim is reviewed and handled by a licensed attorney who manages all filings, deadlines, and court procedures correctly. Your funds are processed securely and in full compliance with the law, with clear communication and transparency throughout the entire process. You are protected from errors, delays, or improper claim handling, and there are no upfront fees—you only pay if surplus funds are successfully recovered.

I have served as general counsel for multiple private companies, advising leadership on strategy, operations, risk management, contracts, employment matters, mergers and acquisitions, compliance, litigation, and surplus funds claims.
I began my legal career at the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Third Circuit and later practiced at a boutique complex commercial litigation firm in Philadelphia before returning to private practice.
My education includes a B.A. with Honors in Linguistics from Swarthmore College, a J.D. from Widener University School of Law, and an M.B.A. in Marketing and Finance from the Kellogg School of Management at Northwestern University.
Marquis Burnett, Owner - Last Aisle On The Right, LLC
Marquis Burnett, 36, is a Philadelphia-based surplus fund recovery specialist, truck driver, and cross-country mover whose life experience is the foundation of his work. With over a decade on the road, Marquis built his career through discipline, persistence, and long hours — values that now define how he serves homeowners navigating financial hardship.
His journey into surplus fund recovery is deeply personal. Marquis entered this field after facing foreclosure himself. He knows what it feels like to carry the stress, uncertainty, and fear that come with losing a home.
During that time, he discovered how many homeowners are never told the full truth: surplus funds may still belong to them after a foreclosure sale. The system is complex, paperwork-heavy, and intimidating — and many families walk away from money that is rightfully theirs simply because they don’t know where to start.
That experience changed his life. What could have remained a setback became a calling. Marquis committed himself to learning the surplus fund recovery process inside and out so he could help others avoid the confusion and isolation he once felt.
For several years, he has worked with homeowners to recover surplus foreclosure funds, guiding them step by step with patience, transparency, and respect.
Clients trust Marquis because he understands both the financial and emotional side of foreclosure. He approaches every case as a real person, not a file number. His goal is not just to recover surplus funds — it’s to give homeowners clarity, dignity, and a sense of relief during one of the most stressful chapters of their lives.
He believes people deserve honest answers, straightforward communication, and an advocate who treats their situation with care.
Today, Marquis combines real-world grit with specialized knowledge in surplus fund claims. His work is rooted in empathy, accountability, and a strong belief that financial recovery can be a fresh start. He built his business to make the process accessible, understandable, and human — because he’s lived it himself.
For Marquis, this is more than a profession. It’s a promise to help others reclaim what belongs to them and move forward with confidence.
